Most of my friends don’t even try to decorate. Since the $ is rather scarce nowadays and all they see on tv is fancy (read: expensive) stuff they just give up before even trying. I hope that after I send them your article they will change their minds

Don’t forget. You don’t always need to buy everything new. Check out ebay or even yard sales, which, at times, have some really nice things. Vases, lamps, book cases, etc., can all be found relatively cheaply. Thanks for the informative post!
